Celebs Go Dating – Season 2

Celebs Go Dating – Season 2 is a complete trashy & leave your brain behind show. If you get entertained watching celebs struggling in the relationship, then this is your cup of tea. If you ever wonder that celebs would find it easy to have a partner, this show comprises of a good bunch of celebs who would prove you wrong. Celebs Go Dating is a British dating reality series. It began broadcasting in August 2016 on E4, with the first series having 15 episodes.

At the Celebrity Dating Agency, clients mingle with everyday singletons for a chance to find love with the non-famous. The Celebrity Dating Agency opens its doors to a bunch of single celebrities who are all looking for love. But the stars aren’t dating each other – they’re dating real people in the real world.

Celebs are paired with civilians through a celeb dating agency. Agents setup the celebs on dates and also offer advice and further interaction through mixers. Incase you were expecting Brad Pitt, these celebs are from reasonably popular shows ( I have never watched them).

Stephen Bear
Charlotte Crosby

Though the show has a diverse range of celebs, Stephen Bear is the clear stand out. It’s wierd how you would enjoy his antics which he makes a dick of himself in front of women. It’s sad he was kicked out of the show as he was already dating Charlotte Crosby. It is a miracle he would get someone. Honestly this would be worthy show material in own right.

Jonathan Cheben

Kim K’s best friend Jonathan Cheben is not too far behind in the annoying department. Even though he pulled off an ideal date in Paris, I somehow felt his annoying personality would end up finding noone.

Ferne McCann

Watch another celebrity Ferne McCann (The Only Way is Essex fame) possibly sit through the worst dates ever.

Tom Wilson

The highlight of the show for me is definitely is Tom Wilson aka Receptionist ( Junior client co-ordinator). He has an interesting personality and an amazing talent with words to deliver the harshest message in the most sweetest way. He even had a few good words for Stephen Bear – when you watch the show you will know it is very hard to be nice to Bear.

It is watchable show, Celebs Go Dating – Season 2 was great. However I cannot say the same about the other seasons.

Love is Blind

How did I find the show ?

I stumbled upon this intriguing reality tv show on Netflix. At first I did not think it was such a great concept. I still don’t. It sounded like pretty much any other arranged marriage in India.

As I write this article, the show rates a 73% on rotten tomatoes and a very good 6 on IMDB.

What was my initial reaction ?

Love is Blind starts off with many people getting to know each other through a wall. People were writing notes of what they liked and disliked about a particular person.

All Matt Barnett wanted was to find that one fish in the sea.

This show actually kicked off and grabbed my attention after a guy named Barnett came into the picture who seemed to fall for 3 girls at the same time.

At one point he almost he asked Jessica to marry him, only to dump her in the next episode.

Within 2-3 episodes all the guys who ended proposing went on to continue to the next part of the show (apparently the interesting few couples).

The format of the show has a very interesting make or break scene for all couples at the altar (and yes in front of priest and family as well).

Jessica Batten was one of the standout contestants

The highlight of the show was Jessica getting drunk and all over place including hitting on Barnett while her fiance Mark was around. Probably Jessica should best be coupled up a bottle of wine.

It is interesting to note that this show was shot a year and a half back. The show ends up with couples getting serious and taking the plunge. Thankfully they are still married today.

The last episode is a reunion episode (in the recent past, nearly a year after the start) which gives you a sneak peak as to how things are still going. There are certainly few surprises where broken hearts have mended and come together.

An ideal show for your COVID 19 lockdown inteanary and even more apt to talk to your neighbor across the wall and emerge as a budding couple at the end of this pandemic (hopefully soon).
